Blogger Doug Ross may have discovered two sound bites from the Obama/Khalidi videotape that the L.A. Times is currently holding hostage. According to Doug, a very reliable source of his has seen some of the tape, and it ain’t pretty for The Great Unifier. From Doug’s site:
“Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can’t release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying “Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine” plus there’s been “genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.”
It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha’s why they will not even let a transcript get out.”
The American electorate has the right to know what Obama’s true position is on the Palestine/Israel issue. If he’s got nothing to hide, Sen. Obama himself should call on the Times to do the right thing and release this tape. His silence on the matter, however, leads one to believe that there’s something to this story.
E-mail the LA Times and demand that they release the Obama/Khalidi videotapte: firstname.lastname@example.org. Phone number is (877) 554-4000.
