What is Past is Prologue

These simple words, penned by William Shakespeare, are inscribed on a statue in front of the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C. And they perfectly describe this year’s Presidential election.

I was listening to The Laura Ingraham Show earlier today and she was talking with Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, former Hillary Clinton supporter and current John McCain-Sarah Palin supporter. She is a centrist Democrat and she is appalled by Barack Obama’s leftist agenda. Lady Lynn said about Obama, “The past is prologue,” and that is truly what it boils down to. In laying out their comprehensive argument against Obama, Guy Benson and Mary Katherine Ham (at Hot Air) detail what the Senator’s past is all about, from his radical associations to his extremist position on abortion and survivors of abortion.

If past is prologue, we can expect a President Obama to introduce a liberal agenda that is far, far outside of the views of mainstream America.
