Now, I’ve got to start this off by saying every time I hear or see Jack Cafferty (CNN buffoon), I can’t help but think of John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. Am I the only child of the 80’s who does that? Anyway, now I know why I do that! Let’s start with the “journalist” Cafferty’s latest nugget:
“The differences between Barack Obama and John McCain couldn’t be more well-defined. Obama wants to change Washington. McCain is a part of Washington and a part of the Bush legacy. Yet the polls remain close. Doesn’t make sense…unless it’s race.”
You got that? If you do not wish to see Barack Obama elected President, you are a racist. It has nothing to do with you disagreeing with his policies or the direction he wants to take the country, it’s that you are racist! Cue music, courtesy John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band:
The dark side’s callin’ now
Nothin’ is real
She’ll never know just how I feel
From out of the shadows
She walks like a dream
Makes me feel crazy
Makes me feel so mean
Ta da! The connection has been made: Jack Cafferty has slipped to the dark side, across that line. Makes him feel crazy, makes him feel so mean. Ooooooh, yeah.
One final note to Time magazine’s Michael Grunwald (quoted in the CNN link above): there is no elephant in the room, but there sure is a great big Jackass.
