It appears that McCain advisor, and former Hewlitt-Packard CEO, Carly Fiorina, has been reading the Joe Biden campaign playbook. Fiorina was appearing on a St. Louis radio station when the host asked, “Do you think she [Palin] has the experience to run a major company, like Hewlett Packard?”
“No, I don’t,” responded Fiorina. “But you know what? That’s not what she’s running for.”
Doh! To her credit, Fiorina went on to point out that none of the other candidates had the right qualifications, either. And there is some validity to this. Rarely do good politicians make good CEO’s and vice versa. Mitt Romney comes to mind as one of the few who has succeeded at both. Judging from recent headlines, however, it doesn’t seem like there are many people out there who are qualified to run a major company.
So, the Joe Biden Foot in Mouth Award of the day goes to Carly Fiorina. As the saying goes, with friends like these . . .
